Style, as we know it, can be displayed and defined through a multitude of art forms. Sartorial presentation, harmonious sounds, dance, culinary techniques…and the list continues. One art form we all have great respect for whether we are conscious of it or not is the “Art of Décor”.

Décor /dāˈkôr/– The furnishing and decoration of a room; The decoration and scenery of a stage.

It’s a factor within the deciding process which causes us to choose which chic hotel we will spend two weeks in while vacationing in Bali, Goa, or Maldive Islands.

I had the wonderful opportunity to witness Rinat Tahar of Tahar Décor in action as she brilliantly and artistically reworked a home in the upper west side of NY which propelled me have a sit down with her just to see what fuels her vision.
